Tomato Sauce Maker Professional Edition
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Reflection (updated)
For our last iteration of Tomato Sauce Maker Pro, we focused on upgrading some of the art for the game, some of the writing for different unlockable endings, and bug fixes. To make the game a bit more challenging, we edited the recipe book to only give the players a hint of recipes without giving away the whole answer. The different endings will hopefully motivate players to try every combination of sauce ingredients and pasta making ingredients to see what happens. By also implementing an easy mode and hard mode, players can experience the game at their own pace and comfort level. We had so much fun making this game. Thank you for playing Tomato Sauce Maker Pro!

I love all the details that have been added since the last version! I especially like the addition of the recipe book, since its both helpful and thematic.
The game is really cool and I love how far it has come. The recipe book was great in this version though it would be nice to have a button or a prompt for how to close it even though esc is pretty intuitive. Also I didn't add peanut butter, followed the recipe, put it on the pasta, and then died for putting peanut butter in so I don't know what happened there.
The improvements are so great! The addition of the recipe book with hints really helped bring the game together. It's been fun seeing the game evolve over the past weeks, super fun!!
The new additions to the game are great!
We've played this game through every update, and so far, we can say that the aesthetics, visuals, and sauce add-ons like pesto were super fun and gave this game the polish it needed. Looking forward to more!!!
This has a lot of charm and flavour. I really like the effort that went into the recipe book and graphics. Even if the mechanic is pretty simple I think the atmosphere the game creates really elevates that experience.
I love the addition of a recipe book, it would be cool if when you try out new sauces they are added to the book! Excited to see the next part!
Visually great game and good updates.
I love the addition of the cookbook being added to guide the player, it feels more cohesive than randomly picking ingredients until it works.
When the cookbook is active, you are still able to click ingredients, which probably wasn't intended. I also think a nice quality of life feature would be that the clickable items need a highlight border or something that indicates that they are clickable.
Overall, great update.
Its awesome the improvements that were made!
The recipe book was a great and well needed add but I needed to be directed into using it as since it was unavailable the first iteration, I didn't blindly attempt. It would be nice if there were clearer indication of interaction while hovered over with mouse.
I’ve seen this game progress, and it’s really impressive. The aesthetic is great, and I like how items look once they’re picked up and placed. I also appreciate the recipe book — it adds helpful guidance. While I wasn’t entirely sure about all the changes from the previous version, I did notice that the pasta part still seems buggy and we can’t do anything there. Even so, the click-and-play mechanic works really well; it’s simple but engaging. One suggestion might be to show the completed sauce visually instead of just in text, as that could provide clearer feedback. Overall, you’ve put in a lot of work, and it shows — the game looks and feels very polished.
